It looks as if the baseball team will be faced with the same adversity that hit the basketball team earlier this season. With the loss of a few players, the roster is now down to 0 seniors, 2 juniors, 2 sophmores, and the rest are underclassman. The team will continue to push on though, and is still looking for the first win of the young season.
Tonight, the CATS fell short to District foe, Nicohlas Co. 2-0. Patrick Johnson pitched a GEM, going 7 innings with 11 strikeouts, and only gave up 2 runs. But the CATS weren't able to get the sticks going, and failed to score a single run. Freshman, Joe Mains, led the team in offense, with 3 hits in the game. This loss puts the CATS record at 0-6.
The CATS will be on the road to Harrison Co. on Thursday, gametime 5 o'clock, with a JV game to follow. Friday-Saturday, the CATS will be heading to Woodford Co. to play in a tournament, gametime TBA.
Come Support the CATS any chance you get, the team plays it's home games @ Southern Elementary.
